Does MACtac Permacolor include pressure sensitive and thermal (heat activated) laminating films?
Yes, MACtac offers both pressure sensitive and thermal lamination films. Thermal films are heat activated not heat assisted.

Overlaminating printed pressure sensitive digital media (Such as IMAGin) requires the use of pressure sensitive laminates because thermal films require encapsulation. Thermal films are great for non-pressure sensitive printed medias.

Does MACtac IMAGin include media for water based, solvent based, and UV inkjet printing?
Yes, IMAGin JT1000 series is for water based and JT5000 series is for solvent and UV based inkjet printing?

IMAGin JT1000 series is top coated to help absorb the water in the inks. IMAGin JT5000 series products are not top coated.

It is not recommended. The vinyl is 3.5 mils thick and is not conformable. Also, water based inks, even when pigmented will not withstand the abuse a vehicle graphic takes.

When building a floor graphic it is important you use removable adhesive. MACtac recommendeds JT5828R and JT5829R from the IMAGin line of solvent/UV based inkjet media. If you would rather solvent/UV screen print you may also choose to use MACscreen 8129R. MACtac does not recommend using IMAGin JT1858R from our line of water based inkjet media because even when laminated the image could be damaged by the water used when cleaning the floor. Yes. Please provide a sample swatch of the color and/or a color number to your sales Representative. Please allow 5-10 days for color matching.

Because of the ultra-smooth, glossy face MACmark vinyls are the best product on the market for thermal transfer printing. MACmark vinyls can also be screen printed as long as no more than 3 ink colors and a clear coat is used. MACtac does not recommend inkjet printing on MACmark vinyls.
