MACtac Worldwide Awards

Recognizing outstanding creativity and technique in large format graphics is what MACtac® Graphics Worldwide Awards is all about. Every two years, this prestigious event highlights the best of the best in visual communication projects produced with MACtac pressure sensitive films. The awards feature creative uses of printing, overlaminating, cutting techniques and more that have both impact and visual appeal, while also advancing techniques in the graphics industry.


General information about the awards program:

  • Entries may be submitted by sign-makers, converters, applicators, digital printers, advertising agencies, studios and end users that used a MACtac Performance Graphic product in the creation of the project.

  • Adhesive products used in the application may include any of the following MACtac product lines: IMAGin®, Permacolor®, MACmark® and MACscreen®.

  • The program is divided into three divisions, segmented by geographic region: North America, Europe and International (Middle East, Africa, Central and South America, Asia and Oceania).

  • Each division is assigned an independent panel of industry experts to judge entries in four categories: Vehicle Graphics (cars, buses, trucks, trains, planes), Exterior Signs (billboards, buildings, events), Interior Signs (showrooms, tradeshows, shops, museums), and Technical Achievement (3-D shapes, large-scale projects, other demanding applications).

  • Judging is held just before ISA and winners are announced at the show. Awards winners receive publicity in numerous industry trade publications. Past winners have been on the cover of Digital Output, as well as featured in Sign of the Times, The Big Picture, Sign Media Canada and Wide-Format Imaging.

  • Award winners receive cash prizes.

Winning entries included: Charlottes Web Trailer Wrap, Tiger Trash Romoval Truck Wrap, Sarah Jessica Parker Elevator Wrap, and Chiniculie's Restaurant Sign. Even though the 2008 MACtac Worldwide Awards have just concluded, it won’t be long before the program will be accepting entries for the 2010 MACtac Graphics Worldwide Awards. The 2010 awards will consist of projects completed with MACtac material in 2008 and 2009. It’s never too early to get your project in motion so start thinking and please be on the look out for the 2010 MACtac Graphics Worldwide Awards call for entries.
