As the prescription labeling industry explores new printing processes, converters are faced with the challenge of understanding the new products that work with these technologies. MACtac® Printing Products has developed a converter-friendly solution with MACScript™, a direct thermal labelstock for prescription labeling.

MACScript’s advanced thermal chemistry design offers outstanding environmental resistance. This design virtually eliminates the need for a press applied UV overcoat, which can add cost, slow the printing process, inhibit full image density and cause premature print head wear. The labelstock can withstand extreme exposure to heat, moisture and certain chemicals, making it the most durable prescription label currently available.

Compatible with both high speed and low voltage direct thermal printers, MACScript has high image density and medium to high thermal sensitivity. It features MACtac’s ST-95 acrylic adhesive, which allows for short-term repositionability and excellent mandrel hold while staying glove-friendly. MACScript also features exceptional service temperature abilities ranging from negative 75 to 200 degrees.
