MACtac® supplies pressure-sensitive adhesive label material for Aloha Shirts Stamps

Celebrate the spirit of Hawaii with the Aloha Shirts stamp series from the U.S. Postal Service. “Aloha,” is a Hawaiian word often used as a blessing or greeting. This stamp series features five Aloha Shirts stamps, each depicting a different shirt showing decorative images of Hawaiian life. MACtac® supplied the pressure-sensitive adhesive label material for more than 1 billion of the 32-cent postcard-rate coil stamps issued.

“Nothing says Hawaii or brings to mind tropical, warm weather like the colorful Aloha shirt,” said Allison Hazel, marketing manager, MACtac Printing Products. “MACtac is pleased to supply the label stock for a postcard coil stamp that delivers its own greeting.”

This stamp series features five Aloha shirts made from boldly patterned fabric showing decorative images of Hawaiian life. Two of the five classic shirts depicted in the stamp art showcase surfers and their boards; one shows fossil fish, shells, and sea stars; another the bird of paradise flower; and one shows Kilauea, a volcano on the Big Island of Hawaii.

The Aloha Shirts stamps are available in blocks of four, blocks of 10 and sheets of 20. The stamps may be purchased at local post offices, at the postal store website at www.usps.com/shop, or by calling 800-STAMP-24.
